The capabilities you want are add-ons. The Business plan lists at $41/user/month (annual billing; Professional is $21). But AIOps starts at $699/month, PagerDuty Advance for generative AI starts at $415/month, and status pages, live call routing, and stakeholder licenses each carry their own line item. The base seat price is rarely the number finance eventually approves.

AI is split across preset products. PagerDuty ships four purpose-built agents (SRE, Scribe, Shift, Insights) plus AIOps for event correlation. Each owns a fixed slice, and automated remediation depends on pre-configured scripts. In 2026, the bar has moved to agents that investigate problems nobody pre-configured.

For teams with responders in mainland China, there is a fourth reason: voice/SMS deliverability and IM support (Feishu, DingTalk, WeCom) are inconsistent through US-centric vendors, and that gap shows up exactly when an incident is burning.

incident.io rebuilt incident management around Slack: alerts declare incidents, channels spin up automatically, timelines capture themselves, and AI drafts the postmortem. If your entire company coordinates in Slack and you handle 10+ incidents a month, the workflow is genuinely smooth.

Pricing: Team plan around $19/user/month plus $12 for on-call; Pro around $25 plus $20 for on-call — roughly $31–45/user/month all-in.

Trade-offs: The Slack-native model is opinionated — teams on Teams, Google Chat, or China IM tools get a much thinner experience. On-call scheduling was a later addition and is metered as an add-on. Deep noise-reduction controls (inhibition, storm detection) and private deployment are not its focus.

FireHydrant leans into service ownership, runbooks, and structured response processes. If your incident practice is built around a rigorous service catalog with compliance-friendly retrospective workflows, it covers that ground well.

Trade-offs: It is web-first — Slack handles notifications while the real work happens in a dashboard. Pricing is enterprise-style (talk to sales), and teams that want IM-native coordination or China-channel support will not find it here.
